Along with helping families financially after the loss of a child, we also look for other resources that families may need. Below is a list of resources that we have found that may be helpful in families time of need.
Jaiden's Angels: A nonprofit charity that serves to provide services and support to local families with critically injured and terminally ill children. Their initial mission is to offer non-traditional outreach to these families; providing memorial planning, funeral expenses, and insurance co-payments. http://www.jaidensangel.org/index.shtml
The Good Grief Program: The program is out of Boston Children's Hospital but has groups outside of Massachusetts. They provide services for children dealing with grief. This grief does not have to the the loss of a sibling, but can be.
The Compassionate Friends: The mission of The Compassionate Friends: When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family. https://www.compassionatefriends.org/about/
